Heritage Maxx and Mancozeb DG Fungicides - Product Spotlight

With the recent wet and humid weather, fungal diseases can target your lawn. In this week’s article, we will spotlight a few fungicides that will help you and your lawn.


What is Mancozeb DG Fungicide?

Mancozeb DG

Mancozeb DG is a contact fungicide that controls many fungal diseases in your lawn. It is a dry formulation that can be applied with other chemicals in a tank mixer.

Mancozeb DG controls pesty fungicides such as:

  • Fusarium
  • Grey Leaf Spot
  • Helminthosporium
  • Rhizoctonia

Mancozeb DG Contact Fungicide: 200-250g/100m² in 5-10lts water.

You can apply Mancozeb throughout susceptible climates/seasons at 7-day intervals.

Make sure to follow application rates and wear appropriate personal protective equipment.


What is Heritage Maxx?

Heritage Maxx

Heritage Maxx is a systemic fungicide that is taken up by the roots, leaves and crowns of your lawn.

Heritage Maxx controls fungicides like:

  • Brown Patch
  • Spring Dead Spot
  • Pythium
  • Anthracnose

Heritage Maxx Systemic Fungicide: 60 mL/100 m²

Apply whilst conditions favour disease.

Do not apply more than 2 consecutive applications over 21-day intervals.

Make sure to follow application rates and wear appropriate personal protective equipment.


Contact vs Systemic Fungicides

Contact fungicides:

Contact fungicides will protect the area that it is applied to and will not be taken up via the plant tissue.

Systematic fungicides:

Systematic fungicides will be taken up via leaves and roots of the plant from an application.
