The production facility at Allenview, Queensland now has a new two span Zinmatic pivot irrigator for the turf fields, assembled by Dover & Sons.
The two span Zinmatic pivot irrigator will ensure the fields receive adequate amounts of water, watered across the establishing turf at a consistent rate, and allow for more time to be spent around other areas of the turf farm, for example, conducting AusGAP inspections.
The two span Zinmatic pivot irrigator is a recent investment into our world-class turf production facility, which will to be critical to continuing to supply you with quality, premium turf varieties such as Sir Grange Zoysia, TifTuf Bermuda and Sir Walter DNA Certified.
THE BENEFITS OF PIVOT IRRIGATION SYSTEMS
Pivot irrigation systems is a method to water turf farms where the system rotates around the pivot and sprinklers water the fields. Benefits include:
- Water efficient: with water efficiency rates of between 85% and 95%.
- Long term usage: when well-maintained, a pivot irrigation system can last up to 20 years.
- Multi-use: when required, the pivot irrigation systems can also be used to apply fertilisers or pesticides.
